Necessity of a bio

Posted: April 1, 2011

A bio is your Best Info Organized. It is excerpts of your life, (professional, creative or otherwise) pulled together into a cohesive overview of your skills, accomplishments and goals. At best, it is short and memoriable to all that read it.

In today’s social media driven world, short is probably the most important requirement of a bio or online profile. It could be a few key sentences to add to a business card to remind people you’ve met who you are, what you do and why they should care. A bio is not a C.V. or resume as it is more personable. In some professions or creative fields a bio sufficiently replaces the traditional resume.

Consider having your bio written by a professional to ensure you touch on the most important details of your life.
